Bormes-les-Mimosas

Bormes-les-Mimosas is a charming village on the French Côte d’Azur, located in the Var region. It is renowned for its picturesque narrow streets, lined with colourful houses winding up the hillsides and offering breathtaking views over the Mediterranean Sea.

The village is surrounded by lush natural scenery and beautiful flowers, including the famous mimosa, which fills the landscape with its fragrant yellow blossom during January and February. Bormes-les-Mimosas has a rich history and an authentic Provençal atmosphere, with charming squares, local markets, and inviting cafés.

It is the perfect base for those wishing to enjoy both the tranquillity of the village and the close proximity to the coastline and other picturesque villages in the region. The glamorous Saint-Tropez is located just 40 km from Bormes-les-Mimosas and is certainly well worth a visit.

  • One of the most beautiful villages in France. Bormes-les-Mimosas is officially recognised as one of the “Plus Beaux Villages de France”, with its flower-filled streets, ochre façades and medieval 

  • The mimosa town par excellence. Its name comes from the mimosas that are in full bloom in January and February. The town is also a stop on the official Route du Mimosa.

  • A presidential residence nearby

Just a stone’s throw away lies Fort de Brégançon, the official summer residence of the French President. It can also be visited during the summer months.

  • A hillside village with stunning views

The old village is set against a hillside and offers beautiful views over the bay of Le Lavandou and the Îles d’Or. The viewpoint at the chapel of Notre-Dame de Constance is an absolute must!

Several wine estates around Bormes produce excellent rosé and white wines, such as Château Léoube, Château Malherbe and Domaine Ott.
